Monks ain’t allowed to predict good luck or bad luck by looking at the stars, ‘cause that would be lying to the emperor and everyone else. They also can’t have or read books about war stuff, and they gotta stay away from murder, rape, stealing and all that other bad stuff. Plus they can’t pretend like they’re wise or something.
