Wow, that’s a lot of shots! An establishing shot is usually the first one you see in a scene. It gives you an idea of where the action is taking place. A wide shot or long shot shows the whole scene from far away. A mid shot or medium shot shows more detail and focuses on one person or object. A two-shot shows two people in the same frame. An over-the-shoulder (OTS) shot is when you see someone from behind another person’s shoulder. A close up (CU) gets really close to someone’s face, and an extreme close up (ECU) zooms in even closer!
