In layman’s terms, Ohm’s law states that the amount of current flowing through a component is directly proportional to the voltage applied across it, and inversely proportional to its resistance. In other words, if you increase the voltage or reduce the resistance, then more current will flow. Conversely, if you reduce the voltage or increase the resistance, then less current will flow. So it’s like a balancing act between these three variables!
