Well, here we go! Oak, ash, apple, hazel, alder, elder and yew - these are the seven trees I’m gonna talk about. Let’s start with oak - it’s strong and sturdy. Then there’s ash - it’s known for its flexibility. Apple is great for making cider! Hazel is a bit of an all-rounder; it can be used for firewood or coppiced to make hurdles. Alder is often found near water and has a distinctive bark. Elder has medicinal properties and yew is popular in hedgerows. So there you have it - seven trees that are all pretty special in their own way!
